Nevada County Assistant Auditor-Controller
- Since July 2020, have served and been mentored by Marcia Salter, four term Auditor-Controller.
- Serving as Finance Chief of the Emergency Operations Center assisting in several emergencies and assisting the County in recouping nearly $2 million in response expenses from FEMA and CalOES.
- Assisted the County in establishing accounting and reporting structure for $19 million in American Rescue Plan Act funding.
Town of Paradise Finance Director/Treasurer
- As Finance Director/Treasurer from July 2008 to July 2020 oversaw budget preparation and monitoring; financial transactions/reporting/annual independent audit; treasury functions; human resources; and information technology.
- After the great recession Council adopted recommended measurers that rebuilt cash flow reserves to reduce annual cash flow borrowing while reducing expenses and maintaining critical public services.
- After the Camp Fire of 2018 assisted in forming city financial recovery plan. Oversaw claims to insurance companies, FEMA/CalOES, and PG&E.
School Services of California Chief Financial Officer
- Hired in 1995, proven judgement and accomplishments led to steady progression of responsibilities and was promoted to CFO by 1997. Served as CFO until 2008.
- Directed all financial management functions including financial statements, forecasts and budgets; general accounting functions, including AR/AP, payroll and treasury; and strategized with CEO and Board of Directors to achieve financial objectives.
- Served as one of three Employee Stock Ownership Plan Trustees from 2000 - 2008. Responsible for voting trust shares, electing the Board of Directors, and managing trust assets.

About me
Growing up
Raised in Auburn in the 1970's and 1980's. Moved to the "big city" to pursue education and career. Self funded college degree through full time employment.
Marriage and Family
Married for twenty-one years to my amazing and supportive husband Randy. We are blessed with a sweet twenty-year old daughter who is a sophomore in college. We are also proud parents of my stepson, his wife and a beautiful two-year old granddaughter.
Coming Home
We moved to Paradise In 2008 to raise our daughter and to be near Randy's widowed mother. She was a remarkable woman who at the age of 94 drove herself out of the Camp Fire. 20 months after the Camp Fire, after losing Randy's mom and missing loved ones who had left Paradise, it was time to come home. Now in Nevada County since 2020, we love the outdoor lifestyle and strong community the County provides. It's good to be home!
